Saturday, July 11th, the EIDTPA held their Set Up for the 2015 season.  The association met at 10:00 a.m. to look at the ground conditions.  The ground conditions were wet, but not too wet to drive a truck over.  Where the season was supposed to start was still under standing water.  The group talked about pulling on the south side until the ground conditions are good for the north.  Thanks to the Mastin’s International Harvester Loader tractor for flipping the sleds, loading the blocks, and setting the sleds.  Darren Niehoff, Pat Moran, and Nate Moran brought the scales, hut, and John Deere 4230.  The Mastin’s brought the International Harvester 4×4 tractor earlier in the week.  The Hubbell’s are going to bring their 1969 John Deere 4520 to help the John Deere 4230 out on the small classes.  After the sleds were flipped, Andy Mastin ran the loader tractor loading a few blocks.  The group wanted to get the scales set, so Andy took the IH loader tractor to lift the scale off.  The association split into two groups.  The scale was having trouble with one weigh bar.  The scale group saw that weigh bar was touching where it wasn’t supposed to.  Everything was set after two hours.  The only thing left to do was set the ropes.  The association decided to set that before the 2015 season starts.  If conditions are good, the EIDTPA will start their season on July 18th at 9:00 a.m. sharp.  Remember the rules changed, all entries must be in before 15 minutes before the class starts.
